This was my first lux vibe purchase, and yes, it is worth it. The material itself is just clearly higher quality. It doesn't have a weird obviously plastic feeling- it feels warm and velvety to the touch. It fits perfectly in my palm, where my thumb can still easily adjust the controls without having to reposition myself. The "ears" on it are very sturdy and deliver fantastic vibrations with only a minimal decrease when more pressure is applied- I've had vibes that totally stop with pressure.
